Knoydart's Fishing Locations

Labelled as one of the most remotest places in Scotland, Knoydart offers plenty of easy to extreme fishing spots.

Inverie pier

The pier, fishable all year round, is at it's best in the warm summer months, when large shoals of Mackerel and Spurdogs can be caught. Other species can be caught off the pier, such as Cod, Conger eels and Rays.

The pier is easily accessible.

Pollock Point

The walk to Pollock Point can challenging; the half an hour walk through wet and steep terrain leads you to a dramatic fishing spot overlooking the Small Isles.

This location harbours a jagged shoreline and hard fighting Pollock. Hence, the name.

The Guserain River

This long and fast paced spate river runs from the base of Ladhar Bheinn through the deep cut Glens, out to the Sound of Sleat. It involves a demanding walk along uneven ground to fish on  the different stretches.

The deep pools hold Atlantic Salmon and Sea Trout, alongside resident Brown Trout.

The Hill Lochs

Knoydart has many small bodies of water situated deep in the hills. Most of these Lochs require a long walk to reach, but they all hold a good population of wild Brown Trout.
